Wow. Almost two full months without blogging. I guess I should have realized that things would get a little crazy this summer and warned my readers not to expect much. Sorry!
Here's what happened in a nutshell:
Alpine trip from July 10th-24th in the verdant town of Valloire, about 1500 meters above sea level. Scenery: spectacular. Hikes: fun (grueling, if you ask the 4 year old). Fresh air: invigorating. A lovely time all around.
Hackett family visit from July 25th- Aug 14th. Grandparents, aunts and uncles, even some family friends. Highlights included a cooking class with my mother and uncle, a trip to Vaux-le-Vicomte, the beautiful chateau, and the medieval town of Provins.
A lot has happened in the last two months and I will be back soon to share more. But at the moment Mazen needs a nap, Geo is requesting breakfast-- en bref, normal life has resumed.
