We had a very nice weekend. Perfect weather, friends, fun....

Saturday we spent the morning tidying up the apartment-- getting rid of the leftover parquet pieces from the floor in Geo's room, getting rid of the last pieces of cardboard, etc. In the afternoon, Nancy, Alain, Robin and Nina came over for tea. So lovely to see them! We took them to our neighborhood park (which, for lack of mowing, is looking a little jungle-ish). The kids had a blast and so did the adults!

Sunday was another gorgeous day; we took a picnic to the Coulee Verte, the large park nearby, and played and played and picnicked. Then home for a nap, and in the late afternoon we headed over to the home of our Anglo-Italian friends for a delicious dinner.

Today is another holiday, sort of. Today used to be a national holiday. Then the law changed, and everyone was allowed to decide for themselves whether or not they took the day off. This means that some schools are closed, some are not. Some companies are closed, some are not. C's company isn't closed, so he's off at work.

I'm posting a ridiculously cute video of Geo singing to his baby, Pierrot. The song starts as a lullaby and ends as more of a marching band tune... Check it out.

Well, off to bake bread, catch up on laundry and clean house!

  1. Geo has to add "composer" to his long list of skills, and only at three years old!
