We're back in France!

Things I will miss about Beirut/Lebanon:

Family and friends
Amazing food!
Best fruits and vegetables evah
Watching Geo enjoy his Taita and Jiddo (and vice-versa)
Built-in babysitters!

Things I will NOT miss:

Pollution-- air and every other kind
Sick, insane, terrible drivers
100 degree heat in 100 percent humidity-- and no AC because the electricity is out
Chaotic streets/cities/everything
Lawlessness

We had an amazing time. I know I promised pictures, but guess what! My parents arrived today, so I'm a little on the busy side. It's actually nice to go straight from one visit into the next-- not much time to be sad. That will come when all the fun is over, in late July.

In the meantime, all I can promise is hopefully regular, brief updates.
